DIED, March 1, 1865, Bro. Albert R. Smith, aged 22 years, son of Bro. Harvey H. Smith. He was wounded in the battle of River's Bridge, on the 4th of February, and died from the effects of wounds and typhoid fever, in the hospital of Beaufort, S. C. This young brother was drafted, and could not obtain exemption from bearing arms, though he applied for it. His letters breathe a humble and Christian spirit.
