Returning Thanks

A GOOD brother in one of the churches writes to the General Conference, giving thanks for the good news from the mission fields sent out from month to month in the Second Sabbath Readings. We print the letter just as an expression of the spirit in the hearts of the believers far and near. It is this spirit of love for the message and of sacrifice for the extension of the work of God, which keeps this movement spreading steadily on to the uttermost parts of the earth. Our brother writes:—
I feel moved by the Spirit of the Lord to pen a few lines, returning thanks for the many missionary readings sent to us and for the help I have obtained through them. It has been a great help and encouragement to me, and I trust by the help of God I shall be able to return some good offerings to the Lord by the end of the year. Dear brethren, it is my heart’s desire to see this work prosper where I am placed as a leader, and I do rejoice to hear how the heathen are receiving this last message of mercy. I am trying my very best, though I am not strong. W. A. S.
