THE BEST GIVING.

A poor, converted woman of India said: “I have no money to give to missions, but I am able to speak of the Saviour to my neighbor.” Could a volume tell more of the duty of the people of this country who live in so much light? Said a young man in a prayer-meeting recently, “I worked for Mr. ——, a well-known Christian, for eight years, and he never spoke to me of religion.” The woman in India had learned what is better than money—the power of personal influence, and eleven persons in her village have been brought to Christ through her “speaking to her neighbor.”—Congregationalist.
