REPENTANCE.

Jesus, my precious Saviour, In want, I come to thee; I see my heart’s pollution, My hands deep stains I see.
I feel, dear Lord, my weakness, My soul’s extremest need; Wash me, I ask in meekness, And make me clean indeed.
I long for sweet communion With Him who died for me; Oh! grant me closer union, My soul’s sweet Love, with thee.
In weariness I languish, In sorrow and in shame; Remove, dear Lord, this anguish, And set me free again.
Accept my deep repentance, Is now my burdened prayer, And teach me in temptation To cast on thee my care.
