Promises to Old Age

MARY E. MOUNT
E'en to your old age I am he, Jehovah is my name; Thee have I kept through all thy life, And I am still the same.
Oh, do not fear to trust in me! Though hoar hairs crown thy brow, Though poverty and care oppress, I'll not forsake thee now.
For I have made, and I will bear, And will deliver thee; Never will I forsake the soul That wholly leans on me.
Thou art engraven on my hands, Each faithful one I know; Far greater than a mother's love, My love to thee doth flow.
Yea, as the apple of mine eye I'll keep thee day and night; Ye are my chosen, faithful ones, And precious in my sight.
