Protest Against Sunday Legislation

THE newspapers of Washington, D. C., gave considerable space in their issues of February 20 to a forceful protest against the proposed Sunday legislation for the District of Columbia. The protest was drawn up by Judge Charles C. Holbrook, of Alamosa, Colo., and was placed in the hands of the chairman of the House District Committee by Representative Haggott, of Colorado. The Washington Herald devoted one full column to the protest, and the Post was also liberal with its space.
