Parents' Meetings

WELL-CONDUCTED parents' meetings are of inestimable value in our churches. Where principles and methods of dealing with children are considered from an impartial point of view, without reference to some one's else children, great good results. In the churches where we have schools established, if parents were to meet two or three times during this vacation for prayer and reading of the Testimonies and for dispassionate study, the effect of these meetings would be seen in a very marked way, in every phase of the work of the schools during the coming year.
We live in a time when every wind of doctrine is blowing with reference to the education of children. God has given to us a sure guide—the word of his testimony. It should be studied prayerfully and intelligently, that we may know our whole duty. Meetings for this purpose are now too little appreciated by us. Here is room for improvement.
