Obituary Notices.

DIED, Sept. 24, 1866, in Perry Co., Pa., my beloved companion, aged 33 years, 9 months, and 23 days. Her death was caused by internal injuries received in lifting. She was a sincere lover of Jesus, a believer in, and an advocate of, the present truth. More than five years ago she commenced keeping the Lord's Sabbath, even before she knew that there were any Seventh-day Adventists in the world. Some one or two years after this, a brother furnished us with several numbers of the Review; and the reading of these produced almost an entire revolution in her mind. She began to take more heed to that light that shineth in a dark place, and was soon enabled to embrace the present truth with the whole affection of her heart. She lived and died, in hope of the glory of God, and of an immortal crown, at the resurrection of the just. Wm. Johnston.
DIED, in Otsego, Mich., our only son, Johnnie H. Pearson, aged nearly seventeen months. Appropriate remarks were made by Bro. A. Hilliard, from 1 Cor. xv. We believe that God will bring our sweet babe again from the land of the enemy; and, if we are faithful, we expect to meet him in the glorious resurrection morning. Bless God, this hope is ours. JOHN D. & S. F. PEARSON.
DIED in Belvidere, Boone Co., Ill., Aug. 28, 1866, of cholera infantum, our youngest child, Zelia Adda, aged 16 mo. and 23 days. Funeral discourse from 1st Cor. xv, 26, by Eld. A. Cook, Free Methodist.
“We shall greet them at home, we shall greet them, When the sorrows of life shall be o'er; Our loved ones we hope soon to meet them, On Eden's fair, beautiful, shore; The glorious thought how consoling, To think that the time is so nigh, When Jesus, the future controlling, Shall bring us to join them on high.
“We shall greet them at home, we shall meet them, Where nothing can ever divide, Where sickness and death cannot harm them, Nor tear them again from our side. We shall wander by life's glowing river, 'Neath the shade of life's tree we shall roam, With the glory of God shining o'er us, We'll greet them, we'll greet them, at home.” J. and E. F. HUNTER.
