A few words of report I wish to speak, by way of general observance. The work in this conference, and the spirit of the laborers in this place, are such as to demand utmost effort. The conference was upon the point of being established here, and the work of building it up, and managing it, was a work of much educational value. A common drinking-saloon stood within a few rods of the center of our work. The youth were being enticed into such a trap, day after day, and week after week.
The members of the T. and M. society have been faithful in the circulation of the reading matter, and many have been saved from the influence of the enemy.
