The Presidency of the Columbia Union Conference

THE members of the Columbia Union Conference Committee met in council at Takoma Park, D. C., November 18, 19. Among other important actions of the committee, was the election of Elder George B. Thompson to the presidency of the union conference, to take the place of Elder E. E. Andross, who, on account of the continued ill health of Mrs. Andross, has located in Southern California. Elder Thompson has entered upon his duties, and went to Mount Vernon last week to look after important interests of the conference. It is a pleasure to be able to report that the work generally is moving forward very encouragingly in this union conference, notwithstanding the changes that have been made in the presidency during the year. We believe that its organization was a step in the right direction, and we have abundant evidence that the conferences composing it will be greatly strengthened as a result. A. G. DANIELLS.
