The Lord’s Prayer

THE LORD’S PRAYER places God before his people as their father. It reveals him as giving, forgiving, guiding, delivering. In uttering the Lord’s Prayer, we profess to come before our God,—
As children ................ Our Father As worshipers ............ Hallowed be thy name As subjects .............. Thy kingdom come As servants .............. Thy will be done As beggars ............... Give us As sinners ............... Forgive us As weak and frail ........ Lead us not into temptation As helpless and in danger ........ Deliver us from evil As fully trusting in his all-sufficiency for time and eternity . .
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
Amen.—Selected.
