The Liquor Traffic has laid a perpetual siege to our cities and towns, and is bombarding them with “Bottle-guns,” which inflict more death and general destruction than the large siege guns of a modern army.
The ammunition used in the “Bottle-guns” is DEVASTATION, fired without detonation, at an annual national cost of $2,700,000,000, and produces crime, outrage, arson, poverty, pauperism, vice, murder, waste, widows, orphans, broken hearts, riots, divorces, insanity, ruined homes, want, theft, misery, cruelty, hard times, and suicide.
