All persons unknown to the managers of this paper must send satisfactory written recommendations whenever submitting notices for insertion in this column.
In the case of poor persons who wish employment, the charge may be remitted, but in order to secure this concession a letter from the elder of the local church of which the advertiser is a member, or from one of our well-known ministers, must accompany the advertisement.
