Christ Our Saviour

N. W. VINCENT
WHEN enemies of righteousness Our ruin would complete, We cry to God in our distress, This ancient prayer repeat: “Help, Lord, we perish!” Holy One, Stretch forth thy mighty arm! On earth now let thy will be done, O shield thine own from harm!
Precious the merits of our Friend! His blood can still atone. Dear Saviour, save us to the end; We trust in thee alone! Give us thy Holy Spirit, Lord, To help us loathe the wrong; O sanctify us through thy word, Our Life, our Strength, and Song!
