Motor-Cycle Missionary Work in Pondoland

BROTHER E. W. JEFFREY tells, in a recent number of the South African Missionary, of some of his experiences in spreading the message by motor cycle through Pondoland, Africa. At one place, as he was crossing a river, three men helped him to get his motor over. Soon others came up and joined the company till, he says, “I found myself giving the message to a company of thirty men and women, who listened most attentively and showed deep interest in all that was said. They asked many questions, two of which especially touched me, ‘Why had they not heard these things before?’ ‘Why did not their ministers tell them that Jesus was coming soon?’ This company kept me for an hour talking to them.” How many others are there in different parts of the country who are reaching out their hands for light, and wondering why the messengers of truth are so long in coming to them with the gospel.
