“FAINT, YET PURSUING.”

Bound for the better land, Why should we slumber, Or in the vineyard stand, Only to cumber? Sands of life are running fast, Let us be doing, Be like heroes of the past— “Faint, yet pursuing!”
What though we wander here, Midst doubt and dangers? Soon shall the shore appear, Where these are strangers, Where the pilgrim’s broken staff, Needs no renewing; Wine for wormwood shall we quaff— “Faint, yet pursuing.”
