The Health Reformer.

This journal has reached a circulation of more than two thousand copies, and has the reputation of being among the soundest and best periodicals of the kind. This, however, is owing in a good degree, to the ability and taste of the printers, and the superiority of the stock used. That which has been most wanting has been an experienced editor, who had ample time to devote to it. Dr. Lay had neither experience in that department of labor, nor time to devote to it. His services are needed in his profession.
The directors of the Health Institute have chosen an Editorial Committee of twelve persons, to conduct the Health Reformer—Drs. Lay, Russell, Kellogg, and Lamson; Elders Andrews, Waggoner, Loughborough, Bourdeau, and White; and Brn. Smith, Amadon, and Gage. It may be expected that each member of this committee will take a share of the responsibility and interest in making the Reformer the very best journal of its kind.
With this new arrangement promising a decided improvement in the Reformer, we shall expect to secure for the next volume ALL its present subscribers and patrons, and obtain as many more. With the July number will commence the new volume. Several thousand extra copies of the first number of the volume will be printed for specimen copies to be used in obtaining subscribers. With a general, spirited effort, the list of subscribers for the Health Reformer can be raised from 2000 to 4000, in a few weeks. Let us all try in earnest this time.
Pages will be added to the Reformer as new subscribers and advertisements shall be furnished, and worthy contributors may be secured. JAMES WHITE.
