Hope and Courage in India

In reporting to the General Conference the actions and calls of the recent annual meeting of the India Union Mission Committee, held in Lucknow, Prof. H. R. Salisbury, who is just taking up the superintendency of the field, speaks of the courageous spirit of the workers and the cheering indications of God's opening providences in that vast field. We are sure he will not object to our passing on this personal word from the report: “I have never before taken up work with such hope and courage, in the twenty-one years I have been associated with the message.”
