He Will Bear the Load

C. E. GREY
“He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in his bosom.” “For I the Lord God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not: I will help thee.” Isa. 40:11; 41:13.
Does the way seem dark and dreary? Is the burden hard to bear? Do the days seem long and weary? Is there none the load to share?
Yes, there’s One who oft has traveled Over ways more dark and drear, And much heavier burdens carried; He has promised to be near.
Yes, this Friend will walk beside thee, And thy hand in his he’ll hold; He will ever, ever guide thee, Till thou tread the streets of gold.
And when all thy strength doth fail thee, And it seems thou must have rest, Jesus in his arms will bear thee, Safely pillowed on his breast.
Courage then; keep pressing onward, For the time will not be long Ere the Saviour comes in glory, And we sing redemption’s song.
