Secretary of the General Conference Medical Department

At the General Conference Council recently held in Washington, Dr. D. H. Kress was appointed secretary of the General Conference Medical Department, and L. A. Hansen assistant secretary. Dr. Kress will continue to give special attention to the field interests of the Medical Department, and Brother Hansen, who has charge of the “Ministry of Healing” relief campaign for our sanitariums, will look after the financial interests as far as they refer to the Medical Department. It has been a matter of regret to the General Conference Committee to have the Medical Department without an active secretary; but it has seemed impossible to avoid this. Dr. Kress is now in charge of the department, doing earnest work. It is desired that our physicians, nurses, and secretaries of the medical departments of our conferences throughout the field, shall get into immediate touch with the secretary of the General Conference Medical Department, and earnestly try to make the work of the department as efficient and as helpful as possible.
