The True Education Readers

THIS series of readers, when completed, will consist of seven books, designed for use in the corresponding first seven grades, or years, of school work. The first three books have been completed. These books have been so carefully prepared that no other text-book is required by the children in these first three grades. The entire series will contain excellent drills on reading, and will present truths on Bible nature study, physiology, etc. From these subjects, the spelling and language lessons are carefully developed. They follow a course of study outlined and adopted by the General Conference Educational Department. The entire subject-matter is based upon and developed from the regular Bible nature lessons that are used in grades 1, 2, and 3. Careful attention has been given to illustrations, as it is well known that a child's character is molded by that which is pleasing to the eye as well as to the mind. All the books will be well bound in cloth, and the prices of the first three volumes will be as follows: Nos. 1 and 2, 75 cents each; No. 3, 90 cents.

The Great Second Advent Movement

Accurately cites the progress of the Seventh-day Adventist denomination from its beginning down to the present time. There is no other book circulated of such vital importance and thrilling interest to the readers of the REVIEW. This timely publication will strengthen faith and confidence in the great advent movement. Its readers will acquire a more perfect knowledge of the dealings of God with his people, and of the message they are giving, and will be better prepared to unite their efforts in advancing the message committed to this people. We therefore heartily commend the book to our REVIEW readers. Bound in plain cloth, 400 pages, $1.50.

Last-Day Tokens

A THRILLING work, giving the great signs that shall precede the second coming of Christ. In addition to these great and well-known signs, the book contains some of the signs not commonly known or understood, such as a full moon in four quarters, each a different color; a large red cross in the heavens, with the letters J. K. S. under it; the Greek cross in the moon; light shooting off from the moon and forming the appearance of a man; a great army in the skies, clothed in red, fighting each other until all were dead; a bright sun two hours after sunset, surrounded by seven stars, the latter finally disappearing in the sun, after which it vanished from sight. These are a few of the many wonders described, and their significance defined, in this very important and exceedingly interesting book. In addition to all these signs, there is given a complete outline of the gospel message for to-day. The book contains 200 pages, paper bound, 25 cents; cloth, 50 cents.

The Reign of Righteousness

THE Words of Truth Series, No. 9, by U. Smith, takes up the prophecy of Isaiah, 'Behold, a King shall reign in righteousness,' and gives Bible answers to the questions, Who is this King who shall reign in righteousness? what will be the nature of his reign? and when will it begin? It gives quite a full explanation of the prophecies of Daniel and the Revelation, the sanctuary question, and the second coming of Christ. It is the one tract that combines the essential features of the complete message. It is an old tract, but has not been extensively advertised. It is an excellent document to circulate to give people a brief yet comprehensive outline of the message for this time. Price, two cents, post-paid.

Bible Lessons for the Church-School

THIS series of Bible lessons, four in all,—two on the Old Testament and two on the New,—follows the course outlined by the General Conference Educational Department, and has been recommended by that body. No. 1 is the only book ready at the present time. It is bound in cloth; price, 50 cents.

Morality of the Sabbath

A PAMPHLET composed of arguments designed to show that the Sabbath commandment, found in the midst of the decalogue, in all respects is like the others—also moral in its nature. Ninety-six pages; price, 15 cents.

Bible Lessons for Children, No. 4

THIS pamphlet contains outlined lessons, together with blackboard drawings and word-picture studies, adapted to the needs of primary workers in children's meetings. It will also be helpful to parents in giving their children instruction in the home. Price, 10 cents.

Pagan Counterfeits in the Christian Church

THIS pamphlet will be found to be very interesting and profitable. It is a stirring appeal to the church to abandon pagan and papal relics, and to turn to the Lord without reservation or delay. It contains 187 pages; price, 25 cents.

Outlines of Modern Science and Modern Christianity

A LOGICAL presentation of the true principles of Christianity and science, contrasted with the modern ideas of Christianity and science. The work has been prepared for the purpose of arresting the downward drift of theology, and to place within the minds and hearts of its readers the soul-stirring, life-giving, character-regenerating doctrines of the Bible. It contains 272 pages; bound in cloth, 75 cents.

Bible Nature Studies

THE purpose of this volume is to illustrate the fact that the Book of books is the foundation of all true science. From this standpoint the author has prepared 267 lessons, and classified them in 16 chapters. In these lessons the reader is led to behold the work of the Creator in the things around him, and to comprehend the essential fact that the power and life of true education is a knowledge of Jesus Christ. These “Nature Studies” fill a long-felt need as a text-book in our church-schools and colleges, and in a beautiful way connect Bible study with that of the sciences. Price, $1.

Kindergarten Supplies

THE REVIEW and HERALD PUBLISHING ASSOCIATION is prepared to equip kindergarten class rooms with furniture and material with which to illustrate the lessons given in “Bible Object Lessons and Songs for Little Ones.” Small tables with substantial hard tops and folding legs, sufficiently large to seat eight children and a teacher, can be furnished for $3.75—freight or express extra. Little chairs for the children can also be supplied at 60 cents for the fourteen-inch, and 50 cents for the twelve-inch, with freight or express extra. Three boxes of kindergarten material can be supplied, which makes teaching comparatively easy. Boxes 1 and 2 contain hard maple blocks cut into cubes, halves, quarters, squares, and oblongs. Box 3 contains ten miniature sheep, 30 mounted sticks to represent men, green French tissue-paper for representing water, cones, domes, and green splints for river outlines and tree building. The three boxes of material, express post-paid, $1.75.

Our Little Folks' Bible Nature
