Last-Day Tokens—A Delay

The new edition of “Last-Day Tokens” has been delayed in publication.
To those who may not be acquainted with this interesting publication, we will say that “Last-Day Tokens” is a description of the many strange sights seen in the heavens during the past fifty years, and will contain twenty-four plates printed in colors, giving a vivid description of just how these scenes appeared. The printing of these plates is a delicate part of the printer’s art, and has consumed more time than anticipated.
This book will contain more than 200 pages, and is written by Elder J. N. Loughborough, who has been an eye-witness to many of the scenes he describes.
The book will be bound in paper. Price, 25 cts., postpaid. You may order now, and your order will be filled just as soon as stock is ready.

The Marvel of Nations

Of more than passing interest should be a book which treats of the past, present, and future of so great a country as the United States—not according to what men may think or say, or endeavor to make according to their ideas, but particularly as to what this country is to be, according to the Bible prediction. Kings of old were taught that the most high God rules in the kingdoms of men. He still rules, and will demonstrate his authority to the great republics and world powers of to-day.
In this book the author has given to the public the results of his deep study of Bible prophecies, and to any one interested in the United States and its destiny, or in the fulfilment of the predictions of the Bible, this book will especially appeal.
Prices: plain cloth, $1.25; cloth, gilt edge, $1.50.

Your Choice of Vegetarian Cook Books

As evidence that vegetarian cooking is not confined to a few cut and dried recipes, from which there is no deviation, we are glad to be able to place before our readers three vegetarian cook-books—all of them excellent works, and each having advantages peculiar to itself.

The New Vegetarian Cook Book

Speaks for itself. When it is known that it is really the diary of a prominent vegetarian cook who for years has conducted a successful vegetarian restaurant, and during which time has collected the many recipes which this book contains, having given them practical demonstration before the public for many years—we say, it speaks for itself. The “New Vegetarian Cook Book” therefore needs no further recommendation.
Price, 75 cts., postpaid.

The Friend in the Kitchen

Is a health cook-book that evidently pleases the people, as the 400 choice recipes which it contains, together with the low price at which it is offered, have placed it in the homes of more than one hundred thousand persons in all English-speaking countries. It has therefore met with general acceptance, and is still selling. Soon to be translated into German, Swedish, and Danish.
Prices: limp cloth, 25 cts.; oilcloth, 50 cts., postpaid.

Science in the Kitchen

The many persons who have inquired after this book since the last edition was exhausted, will be glad to know that the new edition is now ready. It retains the general external appearance, but the contents—almost 500 pages—contain many new and unique features. This book not only tells how to be a vegetarian cook, but is supplied with quite a number of beautiful reproduced photographs of the cook’s table, showing the utensils used, and the different stages in the making of many dishes. This is certainly the de luxe edition in cookbooks, and brings vegetarian cooking to a standard equaling that of the elite. Price, $1.90, postpaid.

Scripture References

A two-cent tract, which is in reality “truth in a nut-shell.” Its 32 pages treat Bible subjects in a brief and concise manner. It states plainly the position taken, quoting extensively from the Scripture for proof. The following subjects receive full attention: The Scriptures, The Prophecies, Second Advent, Resurrection, Inheritance of the Saints, Millennium, Law of God, The Sabbath, First Day of the Week, Immortality, Spiritualism, Nature of Man, Destiny of the Wicked, Soul and Spirit, Hell, Two Covenants, etc.
Special price, 100 copies, postpaid, $1.30.

At the Doors

We still have a supply of this new art booklet. It contains 45 engravings, with historical comments, showing in consecutive order the fulfilment of every prophecy in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. Each engraving is accompanied by a verse of Scripture—the Master’s own words—which it illustrates; and five minutes’ study by the busiest person will fully explain Christ’s prophecy of the future of this world—from his time to the end.
In lots of ten we will sell the 5x6 booklet for 9 cts. each, or 15 cts. per single copy; or the 6x7 size, with extra cover and silk cord, for 15 cts., or 25 cts. single copy.

Preparatory Course for Eternity

In school-days the mind sooner or later turns toward having some object in life, a trade or profession for a life-work. Some time in life each child, young or grown-up, must also look beyond this present world, and consider what choice he will make with reference to eternity.
The preparatory course for the school of eternity is that in which all are now enrolled, and as a guide or text-book in this course no better book, in connection with the Bible, can be found than “Education,” by Mrs. E. G. White. It is a text-book suited to all classes in this life’s course, pointing out the right ways—to the child, the parent, the teacher, the business man—to all; and showing how to avoid the dark and treacherous ways which lead to false theories and destruction. You should not endeavor to pass life’s preparatory course without this text-book.
Bound in beautifully ornamented cloth cover, postpaid, $1.25.

Cruden’s Concordance

This is not a new book, but is recognized as a household necessity in every Christian family. Of all the helps to the study of the Bible, a concordance stands first, and Cruden’s has come to be the standard. It is complete, and although it is quite large, is convenient to handle. Price, postpaid, $1.
When you are looking for a Bible with fine, large, clear type that you can easily read, and at the same time one which you can conveniently carry, remember that our “Quart in a Pint” Bibles fill these specifications exactly, and are the latest production in the Bible manufacture. Price, $3.25 and up, according to grade of binding.
