Introducing Corn Meal in Europe

In 1887 effort was begun to introduce among the people of Europe corn meal as a food. Agents were employed to teach the people and how to cook it in many palatable ways. At that time the sale of corn abroad was only twenty-four million bushels a year. The effort has been so successful that last year the sales were two hundred and nine million bushels. And the sales so far during the present fiscal year indicate that the total for the year will be two hundred and fifty million bushels.
