PENNSYLVANIA T. AND M. SOCIETY.

By R. L. Whitney; Addie Bowen

The first quarterly meeting of this society, held at Wellsville, N. Y., was called Sunday, Jan. 26, 1879. Report of labor for the quarter ending Dec. 31, was presented as follows:—

Report	Number
No. of families visited	269
Letters written	138
Pages of tracts and pamphlets distributed	48,498
New subscribers obtained	103
Annuals sold	254
Annuals given away	146
Periodicals distributed	1,619
Signs taken in clubs	49

MONEY RECEIVED.

	Amount
On donations, book sales, etc.,	$42 45
Added one-third,	24 10
For Oakland church,	6 00
Dime Tabernacle,	7 10
Life membership,	10 00
Total,	$173 43

The money here reported has been paid since the division of the N. Y. and Pa. T. and M. Society, which was made during the Conference at Rome, N. Y., in November. Considering this, and the fact that only four of the five districts in our new society are represented in it, we feel encouraged with this report.

Nearly all the members voted to pay a sum equal to one-third of their tithes for the support of the tract society. This was evidently done with willingness, and we are expecting to see the blessing which is promised by the Lord when his people do their duty in tithes and offerings. R. L. WHITNEY, Pres. ADDIE BOWEN, Sec.
