Germany’s Increasing Crime and Immorality

Professor Scott of Chicago, who has had extensive opportunity for observation in Germany, says: "Germany is probably sinking in crime and immorality more rapidly than any other nation in Europe. In some of the cities half the births are illegitimate. In ten years saloons have increased by fifty per cent., and the people are fast becoming sodden with their beer-drinking."
