I HAVE just closed a short series of meetings on the Yaquina River, in Benton County. Through the influence of missionary labor by sending the SIGNS OF THE TIMES, and judicious correspondence, also by the emigration of some who were keeping the Sabbath, the way was paved for profitable meetings. A Sabbath-school of between fifteen and twenty members, a tract society of eight members, and a church of seven members, were organized. Others are keeping the Sabbath, whom we trust will soon be connected fully with the people of God.
A club of the SIGNS was subscribed for to be used by the missionary society, and a club of Instructors for the Sabbath-school. I am now on my way to Coos County. Good hope and courage prevail throughout the Conference. CHAS. L. BOYD.
