Bound Volumes of the Testimonies.
By Editor
THE first volume of this set, containing the first fourteen numbers, is now on our table. Concerning the matter contained in it, it is unnecessary to speak further, as but few Seventh-day Adventists have not had some of the testimonies, and many have them all, in paper covers. Besides this, Mrs. White's articles in the SIGNS make it unnecessary for us to say anything to our readers in commendation of what comes from her pen. Of the mechanical work of the book, we can say that it is first class. The paper used is of the best quality, the press work is well done, and the binding is neat and substantial. The first volume contains 724 pages, 126 of which are devoted to a biographical sketch of the author. Volume two contains 712 pages, volume three about 600 pages, and volume four about 675. Volumes two and three will be ready for shipment by the middle of this month, and volume four early in October. Orders may be sent at once for the entire set, and each volume will be sent as soon as it is finished. The price of the books is extremely low, being for the cloth binding $1.50 per volume, for the sheep, $2.00, and for the half morocco, $2.25; or, $6.00, $8.00, and $9.00 per set. This is twenty-five per cent. lower than books of the same size and quality of workmanship are sold by other publishing houses. The books will be sent post-paid at the above prices, for cash. Orders may be sent to Pacific Press, Oakland, Cal., Review and Herald, Battle Creek, Mich., or to any of the State tract and missionary societies.
