Camp-Meetings.

We wish to say to those brethren who are expecting us to meet with them in camp-meeting this season, that at present we are not prepared to make any definite statement relative to the future. The labors of the past year have told fearfully upon us. Could we have had rest on our return from the West last November, at the close of our extreme labors during the camp-meeting season, we might now be ready for the labors of the present season. But in consequence of the unfaithfulness of others, a terrible burden fell on us at the Office, and we have been overwhelmed with labor and sadness, until we are forced to give up active labors at present.
The General Conference Committee will provide competent laborers to attend all the camp-meetings. We may attend some of them; but do not expect to labor as we have done the past two years.
