THE Lord greatly blessed us at our last monthly meeting. We were happily disappointed in seeing more than double the number we had expected from abroad, which truly encouraged us; but best of all, the Lord was with us and he is still with us. We who believe the truth, were greatly strengthened by hearing from those who have stood through the first message, and suffered the disappointment, and yet stood firm. It gives us more firm faith in the truth, and a greater determination to live it out, and to labor in the cause. I never felt the burden of the work, as I do at the present; and am determined to labor for the salvation of souls.
To the lonely and doubting ones let me say, Doubt no longer; for we have not followed cunningly-devised fables. The Lord is in this work; and let us, too, work in harmony with it.
“’Tis but a little while, And He will come again, Who died, that we might live, who lives, That we may with him reign.”
