William Miller.

"WILLIAM MILLER, the well-known but greatly-defamed lecturer on the prophecies, was (till they excluded him for his faith) a member of the Regular Baptist Church. Mr. David N. Lord, in a critical notice of his Memoirs, pronounces him ‘a man of vigorous sense, ardent, resolute and upright,’ who ‘had the fullest faith in the Scriptures as the word of God, and gave the most decided evidence that he understood and felt the power of their great truths,’ while ‘his teachings, evangelical, practical, impressive, were made the means, there is reason to believe, through the blessing of God, of leading many to the saving knowledge of the Redeemer.’”—Theological and Literary Journal, Vol. 6, p. 170.
