Fraud, Fraud, more Fraud!
By Uriah Smith
Such is the exclamation which will involuntarily come to the lips of those who read Bro. Andrews' exposure of Eld. Preble. Don't fail to read these articles. The revelations made in this number concerning the course of this man, are perfectly astounding. Bro. Matteson writes touching this matter:— “It can but awaken gratitude to God and joy in the hearts of all the lovers of the truth to see such hideous and long-hidden things of darkness brought to light, and treated with that candor and clearness which they are receiving at the hand of Bro. Andrews, and which are necessary to discern good from evil. Here is light on the Sabbath question. Let us read, and get many others to read.” No one can rise from the perusal of these articles devoid of the conviction that when a man has nothing but a huge system of assumption to sustain, and nothing but perversion, deception, and fraud with which to sustain it, he will find at last, though the exposure may be long in coming, that he would have been better employed at something else. But these articles not only expose the very wicked course of Eld. P., they also sift the whole Sabbath argument as based upon the New Testament, as it never has been done before. They are put into the Review for the benefit of the readers of this paper. They will be put into pamphlet form for the benefit of those without. Study them well now; and then when they are furnished for you to scatter by the thousand, you will know what you are distributing.
