Obituary.

WYRUCK.—Died, after a short but severe attack of throat disease, near Grangeville, Tulare Co., Cal., Jan. 23, 1883, Mrs. N. J. Wyruck, aged 42 years, 4 months and 19 days. She accepted present truth about five years ago, and though much of the time circumstanced so as to attend the church but little, she maintained a careful Christian walk before her family and the community. She was an active missionary worker, maintaining her work faithfully, and using her spare time in acts of charity among her neighbors. Her family, to whose interest she was thoroughly devoted, have suffered an irreparable loss, and they mourn her loss as only few can mourn. The unusually large concourse of people who assembled to pay their tribute of respect to her memory and to weep with the bereaved friends, listened with deep interest to words of instruction and comfort from the text “Thy dead men shall live.” Isa. 26 : 19. The Christian’s hope was especially set forth, and it appeared indeed precious as we felt fully assured that if faithful we shall meet the departed one in the kingdom of immortal glory.
May God grant the bereaved companion and children and other mourning friends grace to live humble Christian lives so that theirs shall be an unbroken family around the heavenly throne. Services conducted by the writer, assisted by Eld. M. C. Israel. G. D. BALLOU.
