Death of Prof. N. N. Whiting

We learn from our exchanges of the death of Prof. N. N. Whiting, whose funeral took place in Williamsburg, L. I., June 15, 1872. Prof. Whiting took quite a prominent part in the advent movement of 1843–4, and was the author of an excellent translation of the New Testament so often quoted by writers on the prophecies, known as “Whiting’s Translation.” He had reached the ripe age of 78 years.
