The Discussion.

We commence this week the publication of a discussion on the Sabbath question between Elds. Waggoner and Vogel, which will be one of great importance and interest. Last January, Bro. R. F. Andrews, of Illinois, came in contact with Eld. Vogel, and had an oral discussion with him on the Sabbath question. Eld. V. sought a champion who would engage with him in written debate on this subject, the discussion to be published in our paper, and in a leading paper of his own denomination. Circumstances seemed to render it advisable that some attention should be paid to this matter, and Bro. Waggoner, being requested to engage in the work, consented to do so. Eld. V. has the reputation of being a finished scholar, and is a representative man in his denomination. The discussion will be published in full in the Gospel Echo and Christian, Quincy, Ill. We feel well assured that this discussion in the hands of such men, has been entered upon with a right motive, and will be conducted in a right temper; and that, consequently, much good will result.
