CHRIST THE STAR OF HOPE

H. W. REED (Madison, Wis.)
A perfect world, a perfect man, In perfect peace and joy; But sin, alas, and pain and woe Cast in their base alloy. It promised life instead of death, A gift from heaven above, And bade man ever rest secure In God's undying love.
