A LETTER FROM THREE ILLINOIS CANVASSERS.

SINCE leaving the College in Battle Creek we have been in the canvassing field one month, and have been very busy all the time, except during the rainy weather. Brother Fry has taken orders for thirty copies of “The Desire of Ages,” in the various styles of bindings, besides a number of orders of “The Coming King.” Brother Edwardson has secured orders for thirty-four copies of “The Desire of Ages,” also sixteen orders for “The Coming King.” Brother Nord has succeeded in securing fourteen orders for “The Desire of Ages,” and between twenty and twenty-five orders for “The Coming King.” In two days last week his sales amounted to $30. He also took eight orders for the Signs of the Times.
The Lord has wonderfully blessed the work of Brethren Fry and Edwardson. They have each taken as many as fifteen orders in one week for “The Desire of Ages,” and many of them were for the seven-dollar binding. We are gaining an experience thatwill be of great value to us. We are all of good courage, and enjoy the work. We understand that Brother F. Wheeler’s company is meeting with good success in the county in which they are working. We realize more and more what it means, and the value of gaining practical experience in the canvassing work. After being in the field for a time we can better understand the necessity and importance of the missionary canvassers’ being thoroughly consecrated to God and accepting his promises by faith.
We are sure the Lord will bless the canvassing work this summer. Remember us at the throne of grace.
Yours in the blessed work, W. C. FOREMAN, G. S. NORD, C. E. WARDSON.
