Catholic Support for Sunday Law Enforcement

The Wisconsin Sabbath [Sunday] Association publishes from Archbishop Ireland the statement: “I have noticed with much regret that in movements of citizens to enforce the Sunday laws of the country, Catholics are not in large numbers among the foremost combatants.” This, with Apostolic Delegate Martinelli’s special call to Sunday observance, would suggest that the Catholic hierarchy in the United States is making a concerted move to engage the Catholics in the enforcement of Sunday observance here. This sign is ominous enough.
