San Francisco.

By John Norton Loughborough

The elders of this church report an increasing interest in the missionary work in the city. They are giving their entire time to the work. Last week they met with a learned and devoted Frenchman to whom they gave a copy of Les Signes des Temps. He took it to his room, read it, and was so delighted with it that he loaned it to fifteen others, each of whom read it and expressed a desire for more reading matter upon the subjects treated in this paper. New ones are becoming interested every week. So let the work go on, is our daily prayer. J. N. L.
