Still Onward.

The past week has been one of some advancement to our cause in California. The monthly missionary meeting held in San Francisco on the evening of June 5, was full of interest, and well attended. The efforts put forth are telling for the advancement of the truth. Six have signed the covenant there during the last month, and others still are becoming interested.
In our visit to Lafayette we found the few there making some advancement in overcoming such idols as tobacco, etc. Brn. Rice and A. Brorsen are at Pacheco, Contra Costa Co., with tent No. 3, where they commence meetings this week.
Brn. Wood and Howard report from tent No. 2, that they are holding meetings in two different neighborhoods six miles apart, one in the tent and one in a large school-house. They are thus canvassing a section of country about five miles wide and eleven miles long. Excellent interest is manifested and the prospects are fair. J. N. L.
