Santa Rosa.

LAST November I made an effort to give a course of lectures in this place, but after a few evenings the rains set in and continued so long that we thought best to wait until more favorable weather. Circumstances prevented my return until March 18, when another effort was made, and continued for ten days, giving fifteen discourses. Our audience has been from 25 to 50 besides our own people. Two adults have promised to keep the commandments of God, and one brother who had fallen away has returned penitent to the fold. Eight or ten others have admitted the truth and we hope will yet obey it. We wish the interest could be followed here but duty calls us to other fields. Our last meetings were the best of all.
