Meeting of the Board of Directors.

At a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Pacific Seventh-day Adventist Publishing Association, held March 7, 1876, the following resolutions were presented by Wesley Diggins, and unanimously passed by the Board :—
Resolved, That Bro. O. B. Jones, in coming to Oakland, Cal., and in putting up the Office Building, has acted as requested and directed by a Committee chosen by the California Conference, and as authorized by the unanimous vote of the Board of Directors; and has shown himself a man of ability, and of sterling integrity, giving us entire satisfaction in his faithful efforts to build well, with the smallest amount of money. Also
Resolved, That, in case he should go to Michigan in answer to the call of the Board of Directors of the Battle Creek Health Institute, to put up buildings for that Institution, we urgently invite him to return, and make his home in this locality.
The following resolution was also introduced by Bro. Diggins, and unanimously passed :—
Resolved, That this Board express their entire satisfaction with the part Elder White has acted in the formation of the Pacific S. D. A. P. Association, in erecting the Publishing Office, and in conducting the SIGNS OF THE TIMES. We cite his untiring labors, and the sacrifice of means he has made in this enterprise, as the best proof of his unselfish desire to advance the work upon this coast. And we express the belief that he has done in establishing and conducting the press on this coast what no other man in our ranks would do, or could have done.
