Hope is the sweetest friend that ever kept a distressed being company; it beguiles the tediousness of the way, all the miseries of our pilgrimage. It tells the soul such sweet stories of succeeding joys; what comforts there are in Heaven; what peace, what joy, what triumphs, what marriage songs and hallelujahs there are in that country whither she is traveling, that she goes merrily away with her present burden.
