The Backslider in Heart

“THE backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways.” Prov. 14: 14. Are you filled with your own ways? Is your first thought always to please yourself? If so, you are probably a backslider in heart.
Since our words and actions are prompted by what is in the heart, one must first backslide in heart before he performs the outward act. Are you growing to love self more, and your neighbor less? Do you love to indulge your fleshly lusts more than to commune with God through prayer and the study of His word? If so, you should ask the Lord to give you a new heart, for you need it. Mrs. Iva F.
