Where Did He Study?

A MINISTER in New York City who claims to have “given the problem deep study,” affirms that it is the duty of this nation to provide “arms and munitions” necessary to crush militarism.
We ought not to question the statement of the minister that he has given deep study to this problem of war; but has he studied it through his Bible? Has he studied the text which affirms that Christ is the Prince of peace? Has he studied the prophecy which foretold that the Master would be led as a lamb to the slaughter? Has he studied the scripture in which Christ specifically tells His followers to put up the sword, for all that take the sword shall perish with the sword?
There is no possible means, if we will follow the Bible, by which Christianity can be led to harmonize with the awful wars of this time.
