Heathen Darkness Penetrated

BY ORRIN A. HALL
Our chapel is located on one of the busiest streets in Nanking. It has a seating capacity of about one hundred and fifty.
A most interesting series of meetings has just been concluded here. Three services were held each day,— at seven-thirty in the evening, the meeting for men; at three o’clock, the meetings for the women and the children.
It was proved again that God’s word is powerful, and sharper than a two-edged sword. Even the denseness of heathen darkness and superstition cannot withstand its mighty influence. Every evening, the chapel was filled to its utmost capacity with a most attentive and orderly audience.
In every part of the field, the grain truly is ripe, ready for the harvest. With the love of Christ constraining us, let us pray and work and give until—
“Earth’s remotest nation Has heard Messiah’s name.”
Nanking.
