Easy to Guess

Why more than 1,000 subscriptions were received last month for the Signs of the Times Magazine.
Why our agents have found it so easy to sell.
It is simply because every issue of the magazine is live, up to date, and full of interest. Not a dull paragraph in it.
See seven reasons below why you should read the JUNE NUMBER, and induce others to do so.

Another World War

Was it a bit of clever diplomacy on the part of Germany to drag Turkey into the war? Constantinople may prove an apple of discord between Russia and England, between whom there cannot be said to be any very strong tie. The driving of the Turk from Europe will be but the “beginning of sorrows.”

The Eastern Question

It seems quite probable that when the time comes for the division of the spoils of war, very serious complications may arise, involving great changes in the map of Europe. In fact, it appears from Rev. 17: 12-14 that in their final struggle for supremacy, some new alignment of the European nations will take place. Under this new arrangement, these nations will unite in restoring the papacy to its ancient power and supremacy.

Reminders of Persecution

A Baptist minister scores the framers of Sunday laws, and those judges and juries that have prosecuted and persecuted observers of the true Sabbath who insisted on their God-given right to work on the first day of the week. He refers specifically to the Tennessee and Maryland cases. Sure to make a deep impression on all fair-minded readers.

Overwhelming Vastness of Universe Power

First of the long-looked-for series on Astronomy and the Bible. Wish we could muster the right words to describe adequately this first installment. A better article on the subject has never appeared in the Signs Magazine. And that is saying a good deal, isn’t it? The writer carries one through limitless space in thought wanderings as he tells of the wonders of the heavens. The majesty and almighty power of God are sufficiently revealed to produce profound reverence for Him, and heart longings for the eternal joy and reward of the overcomer.

The Dead: Are They Alive?

A number of recognized spiritualistic authorities are quoted, who tell us that they have “seen things.” The comments by the writer of the article are likely to disturb the opinions of those who believe that the spirit is a conscious entity possessing personality after death. Just a hint of the character of this article.

Constantinople and the Turks

An outline of the rise of the Ottoman Empire; its unparalleled growth and its decline; portents of its total eclipse; its exit from Europe; its final stand in Asia; the time of trouble that comes simultaneously with its destruction. All this and much more of real up-to-date interest in this excellent three-page article.

Current Events

The German and English Navies, Lessons of the War, The Key to Constantinople, And several others.
