Procrastination and Our Lord's Return

It is a common trait to procrastinate—to put off until to-morrow that which should be done to-day. This habit enters into every phase of life.
How easy it is to allow matters of a very trivial character to crowd out of our daily program the proper consideration of the weightier matters! Think of the great number of men and women who give no thought to their future. They do not give thought to the preparation for eternal life until some calamity or sickness comes to them. It behooves us to prepare while the time is opportune, and not to put off the day of salvation.
There is a tendency to procrastinate in regard to the second-coming of Christ. The Bible speaks of a class who will not give heed to the warning messages from God, but will walk according to their own pleasures. The church of Christ must awake before it is too late, and with Him as their leader, seek the experience of Paul, who counted all things but loss for Christ. Such are the people who have not been overcome by procrastination, but who have overcome the tendency to delay preparation for our Lord's return. On which side am I?
