A PARAGRAPH on the editorial page of one of the most influential dailies of the country says, “Fellows of the Royal Geographical Society of London have publicly advocated polygamy as the only hope of repopulating Europe after the war.” Let it be hoped that this is a false report, although the authority for the statement seems to be quite unquestionable. But whether or not the Royal Geographical Society is advocating such a thing, we know that the moral tone of the world will be immeasurably lowered by the brutal conflict that is now in progress. And yet the majority of men and women are insisting that out of this war will come a great moral uplift.
This is a time when men should think and act wisely, and not allow themselves to be deceived by the drift of popular opinion. God’s word says, speaking of these very times in which we live, that “evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse.” And those who have their eyes open to fact, can see that the divine Book is true. Those who stand on what the Book says, will have a firm foundation.
