“We Never Heard of Him”

IN our work among the Hindus, we meet many who have never heard the name of Christ. We tell them how He came as a babe, of His wonderful life on earth, how He died to save all, even the people of India.
They interrupt us, saying: “Who is Christ? We never heard of Him. Does He live here in Karmatar?”
We answer their questions, and continue, “He is soon coming back to take every one home who is ready, and we want you to be ready to meet Him.”
They invariably ask, “How do you know?” From among the many signs, we usually choose those familiar to the people, such as famine, and disobedience of children to parents. They assent: “Yes, it is so. We believe you.” DELLA BURROWAY.
