The Law and the Gospel

It has been the object of the father of falsehood and error, in order to confuse the glorious plan of salvation in the minds of the people, to make it appear that the law of the Father and the gospel of the Son are in contrast. The Jews were incited by the spirit of error to reject Jesus and His gospel while they clung to the law, their interpretations of which were fearfully warped by their traditions. And many Christians, led by the same spirit of error, reject the law of the Father, while they profess with great tenacity to cling to the cross and the gospel.— James White.
